about

The Pick-Ups are a celebrated Americana rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Led by Don Shapelle*, this track is from their watershed 1994 album ROLLIN' DOWN THE LINE. At the time we joked that this could've been a Boyce/Hart song for The Monkees or Paul Revere & the Raiders. It was mixed by Rusty Richards (Julie Miller, Brian Wilson).

* Don also played with the Hudson River Sloop Singers, activist folk singers who performed with Pete Seeger.
