about

Here's my take on the evergreen jazz-pop standard written by Les Brown and Ben Homer, with lyricist Bud Green. It was Doris Day’s first #1 hit in 1945, recorded at the end of the infamous Musicians Strike of 1942-44. The song has been covered countless times in countless styles. It’s one of my regulars to play when I perform in assisted living homes. Snap your fingers and sing along if you feel it. Thanks for listening. (Song copyright 1945 TuneCore, SME/Legacy ASCAP)
