about

"I'll See You in My Dreams" was written by Isham Jones, with lyrics by Gus Kahn, and was published in 1924. Originally recorded by Jones and the Ray Miller Orchestra, it charted for 16 weeks during 1925, spending seven weeks at # 1. The song has been recorded numerous times in eclectic styles, and it has been a centerpiece for two major motion pictures. It was a touchstone when it was sung by Eric Clapton at the CONCERT FOR GEORGE memorial in 2002. I also performed the song with Davy Jones (Monkees) and Dave "Loafy" Alexander at a symphony concert in 2005.
