Bennett Green and Bridget Purifoy were regular backing musicians for me in the late 80s early 90s. This recording was made by the late Aaron Gregory at the Albion in San Francisco (you can hear him talking in the left channel). The tape sat in storage before I found it in 2002. It seemed to fold into the theme of SNAPSHOTS. It's a song about power that rules over people more than money. There's a theological thread, but the lyrics were approved by all kinds of people, believers and non-believers. It bears a Bruce Cockburn influence. I should revive this song in my live set.
