about

There's a vocal version of this, as well as a Brian Wilson-ish ballad version, and I might remix those and put them out some other time. Meanwhile, I always thought it was a cool instrumental. The beat was influenced by a Janet Jackson record I was listening to back then. The sounds recall one of my favorite (and obscure) British synth-pop bands, New Musik. The piano solo ain't bad, if I say so myself, for a Casio. I did this on a 4-track portastudio in Brisbane CA, upstairs from Cove Recording.
