about

Recorded in 1998 during sessions that led to the FIRE album. I wrote this in 1984, during a bittersweet time in San Francisco. Musically, this arrangement follows suit of one of my favorite British synth-pop bands, New Musik. I was also trying to get a reggae backbeat in the piano. The original purpose of this recording, as an album track, was to lead into and compliment "She's Not Some Animal," but both tracks were set aside for years. Finally, the first plan has been fulfilled. Tim Breon mixed.
