about

Starting in 2004, Davy Jones entered the world of symphony pops concerts--with his repertoire orchestrated to be performed with a symphony orchestra along with members of his road band. He performed in this manner with orchestras around the USA. His symphonic debut was reading Prokofiev's famous children's story, PETER & THE WOLF, presented here in it's entirety from a 2004 performance with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania, sharing the stage with the renowned Hudson Vagabound Puppets acting out the story roles.

The rest of this album includes tracks from symphony performances and rehearsals as well as solo material which included members of the WSO. The latter part of this album features the complete 2010 orchestral set w/members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra that was produced for PBS (broadcast in various edit forms) w/the bonus of Davy Jones sitting in with Paul Revere & The Raiders to perform "Steppin' Stone."
