Autobiography 1957-79 (4-track demo)

from DEATH, GOD, LOVE, & MONEY (a compilation of edgy music) by Johnny J Blair "Singer at Large"

/

about

This lo-fi number is "my life till then," recorded summer 1991 in the San Francisco loft session. Encoded in the lyrics are nearly everything that shaped my life, culturally, emotionally, and spiritually, up till 1979. There are references to growing up in rural Pennsylvania, Badfinger, Beach Boys, Beatles, bicycles, Jesus, Star Trek, and more. I cut it off at 1979 because I met my wife around that time, which changed everything. If I ever did a Part II, that would be a good place to pick up.
